Time Needed for Art Show Postcards

Question received -

I am planning an art show for the 27 August – will need approx. 200 announcement cards.  When should I order these to receive them so I could send them out 2 to 3 weeks in advance of show (about August 6 to 12)…. it will take me a week to process mailing so I will probably need them by August 1…. Thanks, Robert Miller, Beals Is. Maine.

Answer:

Hi Robert,

We should get the order in by the middle of July.
This gives two weeks to print and deliver your cards.
This should be a safe amount of time to hit your schedule.

This does not include time to develop a design for your cards.
So, we have until mid July to have a design ready that you approve.

The process of preparing a card design that you approve of usually only takes a couple of days after you submit any images and instructions for what you want your card to say.  After I receive your photo file and instructions I work up a design and place a draft layout for your card on a web page.  I will then send you an email with a link to the web so you can review and approve or give further instructions.

If you would like to get started please use the form at this link.

or just send everything in a reply email.
