slides turnaround for movie ads
Hello John,
We need 4-5 working days to create your slides after we
receive your images and order. At that point we can ship overnight.
Other option: I can shoot your image on slide film and ship the
undeveloped slide film to you by the next day after I receive
your image and order. You would then need to get the slide
film developed at a local film developer to your business.
Do you have a local developer for slide film ?
We do not have one here. We have to send the film to
a developer that is about 100 miles from our location.
That is why why it takes us 4-5 days to ship the slides to you.

Send CD with images for slides
Hello Laura,
Yes, we are still in business.
Yes, you can send us a CD with your images.
A 4×6 image at 300 dpi should work well for making full frame 35mm slides.
I recommend sending high quality JPG files.
We should be able to ship back your slides in about a week after we receive
your CD and order payment.
Before you send your CD, please enter an order into our shopping cart
for the total quantity of slides you want us to make
using our online order form at this link.
In our shopping cart you can select pay by check, or you can pay online.
Print the confirming order page and send it with your CD.
The address to send your CD to is:

******************************************************************************* FORM PAGE: http://www.galleriaventures.com/contact.htm ******************************************************************************* sender_name: Laura subject: General Inquiry regarding slides Inquiry: Hello, My name is Laura Walthers and I would like to have some slides made from digital files. I called and got an automated voicemail so I am not sure if your business is still open. I looked over your information and it was great about how to upload files but you didn't mention anything about the size of the files in inches? In the past I have made 4x6 digital files and put on a disk. I then sent that to the lab for the slides. Could this also be done? Also what would be the turn around time for processing. Thank you, Laura -
Image Sizing for 35mm Slides
Hello Justin,
The size of a 35mm film frame is very close to 1″ x 1.5″
Therefore, images that have the ratios 2×3 or 4×6 have the right ratio to fill the film frame.
Additionally though, a 35mm slide is held in a 2″ x 2″ plastic or cardboard frame for handling.
A small portion of the film frame edge is covered up by the handling frame.
( I made some slides of some art once in which the artist was disappointed that some of
the edge of their art was covered up by the handling frame.)
So for most art I recommend shooting the image as an 8% shrink which makes sure all edges
of the image on the film will be inside the handling frame.
I offer three types of shooting on film:
- crop to fill film frame – image is cropped to ratio to fill film frame
- best fit on film frame – image is sized so longest edge still fits on film frame
- 8% shrink
This is fairly difficult to describe in text so please look at further description
of this information on this link.
Some additional information is available here.
I do not know of any way to make an image a specific size on the film.
You can make it a specific ratio on the film and then when you project
the image you can move the projector to a distance where it will project
a specific size.
